Tim Schick, CFA

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Tim began his career as a Flight Officer onboard P-3C Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft. After his active-duty service, he spent five years supporting government training programs in a Foreign Military Sales capacity before entering the investment industry on the ‘Buy Side.’ He first worked on the investment team of a $4 billion institutional endowment Fund where he focused on private equity and alternative investment ideas, before moving into High-Net-Worth private client advisory as the Director of Portfolio Management for a $300 million Registered Investment Advisor. After a decade in investments, Tim moved into corporate finance where he installed sophisticated Financial Planning & Analysis regimens and performed significant acquisition work for private equity owned enterprises and turnaround opportunities, including six years with MRO/Auto Parts distributors and six years with luxury fishing boat manufacturers. Most recently, he took a laser-based industrial start-up through its NASDAQ IPO and then consulted with two more publicly reporting manufacturing concerns before joining JSM & Associates in late 2024. Tim has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Annapolis; an S.M. in Aeronautics & Astronautics from M.I.T.; a B.B.A. in Banking & Finance from UNF; and an MBA in Finance from UNF. Additionally, he is a CFA charter holder and a permanent member of the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management & Research).
