Brian Shomock 
Vice President - Operations

Mr. Shomock has extensive experience related to Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and specifically Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) with a core focus in Project Management, including team management, system design, scheduling and planning, installation and commissioning, and budget coherence in the BHS field for over 11 years.  Brian is well versed in the operational aspects of baggage conveyance systems, design concepts, and operational efficiencies. 

Prior to JSM, Brian was employed as a TSA Site Lead working directly with the TSA in dealing with site-specific details carrying BHS projects from pre-design through fully system commissioning including Test Readiness Review (TRR) and eventual Integrated Site Acceptance Testing (ISAT), Explosives Detection System (EDS) deployment, installation and commissioning, as well as ensuring project compliance with the TSA Planning Guidelines and Design Standards (PGDS).  

Brian is a Project Management Professional in good standing (PMP) and has been certified since 2005.  He has held positions in project management for most of his professional career, starting with material handling focusing on projects for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the automotive industry, before moving into his current area as a subject matter expert in the BHS Industry.
